A really lovely experience. We wandered in quite close to closing time (slightly over really) and were expecting to be sent away, but we were welcomed with open arms and looked after beautifully. A perfect cream tea (cream first of course) whilst we chatted and looked at the incredible decor. It's a fascinating mix of victorian furniture and more recent ornaments and nick knacks - there's always something to catch your eye. In summary, lovely people, lovely atmosphere, lovely scones and tea... just lovely.

What a little gem this place is, saw the school fudge tart in the window and had to have a piece. Myself and my friend ordered soup and a cheese scone, it was bloody delicious, l had lentil and bacon, my friend had chunky veg and pesto which l tasted, again, delicious. The cheese scone was served warm...not microwaved!! That was spot on too. Now the school fudge tart....l'm still dreaming of it, it was PERFECT, thin base not too thick, and a perfect filling, with grated chocolate....it was soooo good. The shop, a listed building was beautiful, full of character. An olde worlde pharmacy. Really reasonably priced for fantastic, wholesome food and what lovely, lovely staff. Thank you so much, we were talking about you all on the train on our way back home to Barnstaple. The highlight of our day.

Dropped into Newton Abbot, as you do and decided to grab some lunch. The Pharmacy Cafe was our choice, and glad we did. Coffee, tea and quiche x2. Excellent value for money, great service and great food. Well worth the visit, for its great interior.

What a great hidden Gem this place is, we were just visiting for the day, and found this place by chance, A really nice atmosphere and interesting conversion of what was an original pharmacy, all the old draws of various medications make a real talking point. Great cakes to choose from, homemade fillings in the jacket potatoes as one example of a lunch option that we had. Probably the best we have ever had. Staff really friendly no fuss polite and attentive. Would make this part of any trip to this area again for sure. To the Owner & Staff you are great thank you.

We were visiting from Plymouth. I was looking in the window at all the lovely selection of cakes when Zoe who works there- (caught her name at the end) came over and flipped the sign to say closed. I must of looked disappointed as Zoe opened the door and said did you want some cake? Ended up buying a couple slices to take away. This was really thoughtful of her to take some time to serve us both even though they had just closed. Thank you very much and the cakes were amazing!

Amazing atmosphere, love the old pharmacy decor with the history! Stopped by for cakes and drinks and it was lovely. There is a vast range of gluten free homemade cakes, which is a rare sight! However, the fruitcake was a bit dense but still tasty nonetheless. If we lived nearby, we would be frequent visitors.

Went in as we were a bit in a rush but needed a little pick me up, so thought let's pop in for a quick hot drink and small bite. Fantastic decor and atmosphere, lovely service but a bit on a pricey side hence 4 stars.
